OLLIE'S TELESCOPE

This children's book is inspired by a boy who lost his sight while undergoing cancer treatments. He tackles his new obstacles with courage and resilience while learning a new way to accomplish his goals. Like the real Ollie, our main character loses his sight during treatment. When he mourns the loss of his passion, astronomy, he rediscovers the universe through music. Together with a friend from the oncology unit, he discovers that he is able to accomplish his passions by changing his approach. This heartwarming tale encourages children who are experiencing life-altering physical changes after injury or illness and introduces them to accessible recreation.

All proceeds from the sales of this book are being donated to Candlelighter's Childhood Cancer Support Programs.
